Sagar Public School organizes ‘Biblio’ – The Literature Fest


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Sagar Public School began its two days ‘Biblio’ – The Literature Fest with great enthusiasm and fervor. The two days Literature Festival will witness presence of acclaimed and emerging writers, eminent speakers and editors to discuss and share trends of the emerging new forms of literature. ‘Biblio’- The Lit Fest is aimed to provide an educational opportunity with multiple avenues to stimulate the intellectual and creative facets of students. It comprise of sessions from eminent writers like Payal Kapadia, Deepa Agrawal, Seema Raizada, Nishant Upadhyay, Simi Shrivastava, Ritu Lalit, Arghya Kamal Mitra etc. Biblio-The Lit Fest began by seeking blessings of ‘Maa Saraswati’ and lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Payal Kapadia, Sudhir Kumar Agrawal, Chairman Sagar Group and Principal Ms. Pankaj Sharma. On the occasion, K K Dubey, Director HR, Dr. Jaishree Kanwar, Principal Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar, Dr. Madhubala Chouhan, Principal, Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar Principal Shradha Kunango, Vice Principal, governing members of Sagar Public School, School Principals, distinguished guests, teachers, media and literature lovers were present on the occasion. A graceful and knowledge sharing session began with ‘ORATEUR’ with speaker Ms Payal Kapadia who hailed the role of literature, emerging trends on various forms of literature and its radically different interpretation in modern India using her book Horrid High. She also conducted a workshop on story writing with students on conversion of thoughts into small stories. Payal Kapadia said that, “It is a pleasure to be associated with Sagar Public School. A school that gives reading the importance it deserves. I congratulate everyone for this vision and passion of bringing children and books together.” Ms Deepa Agarwal engaged students in World of Dreams and conducted a creative writing workshop mesmerizing with storytelling session. She guided the students on how books can help them in into a great thinker and eventually a great conqueror. She motivated the students to maintain their own library and directed to write. The students got engrossed in The Titans Express which had presence of Editors from prominent newspapers who guided students on meeting every day challenge and sorted their queries. They shared their experiences and channeled students to read and write daily and share their experiences and knowledge through the power of words to create a network. Students were introduced and exposed to the World of Literary characters Kaleidoscope which enthralled them in to the world of characters and illustrations in which various schools participated. The competition was judged by Ms Seema Raizada who said that, “Characters inspires us and play a very important role in literature.” The day one of ‘Biblio’ – Lit Fest ended with competitions like an interschool poster making competition and presentation of ‘EMMA’ an English drama written by Jane Austen presented by students of the school in which the audience had smiling faces and got glued to the amazing show of clear focus, cohesiveness impressive and unmatched. On the occasion of Biblio - The Lit Fest, Sudhir Kumar Agrawal, Chairman, Sagar Group said that “We are glad that we have been able to pass on the habit of reading to our students. Reading is an excellent hobby as it exposes you to other people’s experiences and expands your knowledge base. I am sure ‘Biblio’ – Lit fest will encourage students to read more and to write. We will continue with our efforts to provide quality education and exposures to students.”
