Saudi MoS Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir arriving India on Monday

New Delhi, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir is arriving India on Monday on an official visit. During his stay here, according to official sources, the visiting Minister will call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Monday evening itself. He will also meet External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and have talks on bilateral and regional issues. "Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs will visit India on Monday and will meet External Affairs Minister. My understanding is he is visiting to discuss some important follow ups from the recent visit of Saudi Crown prince," MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar has said on Saturday. The Saudi leader's visit to India is being seen with keenness as during Al-Jubeir’s visit to Islamabad, he has “assured (Pakistan’s) Foreign Minister of the (Saudi) Kingdom's support to seek peaceful settlement of all outstanding disputes between Pakistan and India". Answering questions, the MEA spokesman, however said, "frankly there have been no offer for mediation from any country, not from Saudi not from any country.....and I think our (Indian government's) position is very clear on this". "Let us make it very clear. We are not looking for mediation (between India and Pakistan). No body has offered us mediation," another government source has said last week.
