SC refuses to modify its May 15 order regarding Delhi sealing issue

New Delhi, The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to modify its earlier May 15 order directing the central government to give 15 days' time to Delhi residents for filing their objections against the proposed amendments in Master Plan in connection with the Delhi sealing issue. A division bench of the apex court vacation bench, headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar and also comprising Justice Naveen Sinha, refused to modify its earlier May 15 order in Delhi sealing issue. The top court had on May 15, directed the Union of India (UoI) to give 15 days' time to Delhi residents for filing their objections and grievances against the proposed amendments in the Master Plan. A two-judge bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Madan Bhimrao Lokur, had on May 15, directed the Centre to publish the proposed amendments of the Master Plan in various newspapers and media in English and Hindi, for seeking objection from general public.
