SC refuses to stay Rajnikanth's starrer film, Kaala.


New Delhi, The Supreme court on Wednesday refused to stay the release of Rajnikanth starrer, Kaala. The film is now be released on Thursday. A petition was filed by one K. Rajasekhara, seeking a stay on the release of the film. A vacation bench of the Apex court, headed by Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel and comprising Justice Ashok Bhushan, heard a petition filed by one K. Rajasekhara seeking a stay on the release of the film, and said it did not find any merit in the petition."We don't want to interfere with the release of the movie," the bench said. The apex court, while refusing to stay the film, observed that everybody was awaiting for the release of the movie and wanted to see it. Rajasekhara in his petition has claimed that he had written the story of the film and it should be credited to him, whereas another person had been named as the writer. The Tamil-language film depicts the life of Kaala, who as a child runs away from Tiruneveli and moves to Mumbai where he becomes a powerful don living in the slums of Dharavi.
