Seminar on women safety and prevention of cyber crime held at Sagar Public School


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Sagar Public School which is amongst best CBSE school of Bhopal organized a seminar on Women Safety - Issues, Challenges, Alerts and Prevention of Cyber Crime. The seminar was organized with help of Madhya Pradesh Police Department and Madhya Pradesh Traffic Police Department at the Saket Nagar campus. Sameer Yadav – Addl. Superintendent of Police (ASP), SDOP Misrod Vijay Punj and Sanjay Somani - Chief Traffic Warden, Bhopal from Madhya Pradesh Police conducted the session. The seminar began by seeking blessings of ‘Maa Saraswati’ and lighting of ceremonial lamp followed by floral welcome of esteemed guests by Principal, Pankaj Sharma. Governing members of Sagar Public School and media was present on the occasion. The session was attended by approx 800+ Sagarites. The students were briefed about cyber safety, Children and Women Safety and Traffic Rules. Emphasis was made on cautious usage of technology in the present scenario. Mr. Sameer Yadav, ASP informed on about the app Women Security and appealed the students and teachers to be aware of its use in case of any emergency. Addressing the gathering, Sameer Yadav, Add. Superintendent of Police shared the real issues, challenges and alerts on women safety and cyber crimes. He said to students, “Treat Madhya Pradesh Police as your friend and your co-operation and alertness will help us to serve you better. Yadav also highlighted and described the various ways by which women can take appropriate help for their self defense which included Madhya Pradesh Police Department initiatives namely: 1) Women Desk – Set up of women desk at each police station for instant action on complaint received 2) Social Media – Downloading of ‘Maitri App which helps to track your location. Use social media platforms to inform women crime branch using face book and twitter 3) Women Police Stations – Established in key cities of Madhya Pradesh 4) 1090 -Women Helpline &We care for you helpline 5) Nirbhaya’ Patrolling – Women Police patrolling near school and colleges 6) Dial 100 7) WushuSelf Defense Training Techniques – Training of women at school and colleges 8) MPeCop Mobile App - Download theMpeCop and use it in case of emergency.The push button on app raises an alarm in form of an sms to Dial 100 along with five relatives A memento was presented to Sameer Yadav – Addl. Superintendent of Police (ASP), SDOP Misrod, Vijay Punj and Sanjay Somani - Chief Traffic Warden Bhopal by Principal Pankaj Sharma. The seminar concluded with vote of thanks to Madhya Pradesh Police Department by Vice Principal Ms Shraddha Kanungo.
