Snapping a losing streak of last six sessions, the BSE bounced back on Wednesday by 368 points to open at 34,563.30 as buying was witnessed across the board, especially blue-chips boosted the same.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 111 points to 10,607.20 in early trade.Yesterday, it was dropped by 561 points in a single day on sell-off in world markets.The sensex registered intra day high and low at 34,666.33 and 34,207.77 respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,614.00 and 10,506.40 respectively.The sectoral indices like Materials, Consumer Durable, FMCG, Realty and Technology surged in early trade.
The gainers were Tata Motors by 2.28 pc to Rs 383,ONGC by 2.21 pc to Rs 189.75,Tata Motors DVR by 2.04 pc to Rs 212.75 and Axis Bank by 1.86 pc to Rs 569.75.
The losers were NTPC by 2 pc to Rs 162, Hind Unilever by 1.29 pc to Rs 1311.15,Wipro by 1.29 pc to Rs 291.10 and Bharti Airtel yby 1.12 pc to Rs 433.85.
