A sex racket was busted under Bagh Sevania police station on late on Sunday night.The sex racket was being run from a flat in the area. Police arrested a Mumbai call girl, a woman and two other persons. Police said the matter was being investigated.
The Bagh Sevania police received information late on Sunday night that a sex racket was being operated from a flat. The cops informed the senior officials about this and the police raided the house along with female police station in-charge Shikha Singh Bains.
The police found a Mumbai girl in a compromising position with one Pravin alias Banti Patel, resident of Umraoganj police station area. His companion Arjun Chaukse, son of Ganesh Chaukse, resident of Anuja Village under Misrod police station, managed to escape from the spot but was later arrested by the police.
The Mumbai girl told police that she had been called by a woman residing in Sundar Nagar under Ashoka Garden police station. The Mumbai girl had been staying in Bhopal for the last 4-5 days. The woman had sent her to the place of the youths.
Police have arrested the woman also. As the woman was living in a rented accommodation, police are investigating the role of the landlord as well.
Panchayat Sachiv Sangathan president assaulted
MP Panchayat Sachiv Sangathan president was assaulted in the office late on Sunday night. The attackers are suspected to be members of a new outfit formed under the banner of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh. Police have registered case of rioting in this regard.
TT Nagar police station in-charge Mahendra Singh Chauhan said the office of Panchayat Sachiv Sangathan is situated in Harshvardhan Nagar.
On Sunday night at about 11.30 pm, Sangathan president Dinesh Sharma was having dinner with his friends Satish Sharma, Shyam Prajapati and Nrityanand Upadhyaya. Just then Balmukund Upadhyaya barged into the office along with his about a dozen accomplices.
They attacked Dinesh Sharma and his friends with sticks and lathis. By the time police reached the spot the accused had fled from the spot. Injured Dinesh Sharma has been hospitalized. The plaintiff said the assaulters also robbed him of Rs 75,000.
TI Mahendra Singh Chauhan said Dinesh Sharma informed that the accused barged into the office saying he (dinesh Sharma) was fake president. When Sharma opposed, they started assaulting him and his friends. Efforts are on to arrest the accused, police said.
Jail inmates attack cops during search, S-I seriously hurt
There was turmoil in the Central Jail on Monday morning when au undertrial prisoner and his companions attacked policemen. A sub-inspector sustained serious injuries and his teeth were broken in the assault.
The incident took place at about 10.30 am when the inmates were being taken to the court for hearing. Gandhi Nagar police have booked five inmates on the complaint of S-I Vinod Panthi.
Gandhi Nagar police station in-charge Kuldip Khatri said the the cops had reached the jail for taking undertrials for court hearing. The jail guards were searching the inmates who were to be taken for hearing. Suddenly one of the inmates Shadab Qureshi said how many times would you search and attacked searchers.
He hit sub-inspector Panthi on the face due to which his teeth were broken. Seeing this some other inmates also attacked the cops. Other policemen who were injured included S-I Pawan Sen, ASI Sovran Singh, constables Digvijay, Anil Kumar, Jitendra and Balram. Aishbagh resident Shadab is currently lodged in jail in connection with a cheque bounce and attempt to murder case.
Girl student commits suicide
Under Ashoka Garden police station, a girl preparing for CA committed suicide by hanging at her house in Rajiv Nagar. Police did not recover any suicide note. So the motive behind taking the extreme step is not clear.
Police said Harsha Mishra, 19, son of Manoj Mishra, lived in Rajiv Nagar. Her father works with LIC, while her mother is a teacher in a private school. She was preparing for CA. Her 11-year-old brother is also a student. Harsha was very good in studies and had passed the Class-12 examination in 2016 with 94 per cent marks.
According to the police, Harsha’s parents and brother had gone somewhere on Monday. When they returned in the evening they found her body hanging. The family members are in a state of shock after the incident. Police are investigating to ascertain what prompted the girl to take the extreme step.
