Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal There was lengthy meeting between chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Governor Anandiben Patel on Thursday. It is believed that the two leaders discussed cabinet expansion and happenings during budget session. The issue of minister Rampal Singh is also believed to have been taken up during the meet. The speculations about cabinet expansion are rife in the political circles after the meet. It is speculated that two old ministers could be removed and three to four new ministers could be inducted in the cabinet. According to sources Preeti suicide case led to uproarious scenes in the assembly and complaints in this regard have also reached Delhi. The CM reached Raj Bhavan at 11 am and had talks with the Governor over this issue. In view of the forthcoming elections in the state, the CM later left for Delhi. it is believed that the CM discussed cabinet expansion with the Governor. It is believed that more than half dozen new faces could be included in the cabinet to balance caste equations. The Preeti suicide case was discussed during the meeting. Sources said the role of minister Rampal Singh and his son Girjesh Singh was discussed. After the resignation of Kailash Vijayvargiya there is no minister in the cabinet from Indore. It is speculated that Ramesh Mendola and Sudarshan Gupta from Indore could be included in the cabinet. Besides an MLA from Dhar could also be included in the cabinet. The representation from Vindhya has also reduced after Gyan Singh’s resignation. Therefore a minister from Vindhya could also be included. Gopilal Jatav was not made minister on account of model code of conduct.
