Students and Childline hold awareness programme on child labour


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Jagrati is a field action project initiated by the department of social work, BSSS to sensitize the communities about child protection and its importance. The team identified 5 places of Bhopal such as ISBT, Shankaracharya Basti, Bhopal Railway station, Goutam Nagar and Vishwakarma Nagar which are few among those places where the issues pertaining to children are escalating. The Social Work students composed and tuned up new kawaali songs on child labor and through which they sensitized the public about child labour’s prevention by the use of 1098 (Child-line) helpline number. The Childline team of Bhopal was the promoter of program also, their volunteership enhanced to carry out it successfully.
