Students confinement row: Kejriwal visits school, directs principal to prevent such incident


New Delhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday visited the private school where there was an incident of alleged confinement of kindergarten students over non-payment of fees and directed the Principal that there should be no such incident in future. Talking to reporters after visiting the school along with Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Environment Minister Imran Hussain, Mr Kejriwal said,'those students who were confined in the basement, I have talked to them and their parents. The school principal has been given strictly directed to prevent such incident in the future."The Chief Minister said an FIR was registered in the matter and Delhi government will also probe the incident. “Guilty will not be spared," Mr Kejriwal said. On Wednesday, Mr Kejriwal had sought report from the Education Department on the matter.Around 16 kindergarten students of the Rabea Public School in old Delhi were allegedly locked up in basement due to non payment of fee on Monday.
