Students run to raise awareness


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal An awareness marathon run was organized at BHEL Dussehra Grounds to create awareness on reducing maternal and infant mortality rates. Nursing students of various colleges took part in the marathon. The marathon started from BHEL Dussehra Maidan in front of Career College. It passed through Sadbhavana Chowk, BHEL gate, Mahatma Gandhi Chowk before returning to the point of start via the same route. The chief guest at the marathon race was Cooperatives and Rural Development Minister Kailash Sarang, while village Berkhedi sarpanch Bhakti Sharma was the special guest. The marathon run was organized by Society of India Mid Wives India. The main aim of the society working for safe motherhood in the country is to bring down infant and maternal mortality rates.
