Sunanda Pushkar death case transferred to designated court: May 28 next hearing


New Delhi, Metropolitan Magistrate Dharmendra Singh on Thursday, after hearing Sunanda Pushkar death case in which her husband and Indian National Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor has been charge sheeted for abetting her suicide, transferred it to a Special Court. Police filed a charge sheet before the court on May 14 by accusing Shashi Tharoor, the Lok Sabha MP representing Thiruvananthapuram, of abetting Pushkar’s suicide. Police has filed charge sheet of about 3,000 pages before the court and alleged that Tharoor has subjected cruelty with his wife. Delhi Police has submitted that Tharoor should be summoned as an accused in the case and asserted that there was sufficient evidence against him. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal will now hear the case on next Monday.
