Sushma calls on Seychelles Prez, discusses bilateral issues


New Delhi, India and Seychelles on Monday agreed to further expand bilateral cooperation and give further push in ties in multiple areas, including human resource development and capacity building. The subjects figured in the discussions between the visiting Seychelles President Danny Antoine Rollen Faure and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj here. "Relationship which is deep-rooted & historical. EAM Sushma Swaraj calls on President of #Seychelles Danny Faure in New Delhi. Good discussion on expanding bilateral cooperation in all areas, specially capacity building, human resource development and people-to-people contacts," MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted. Earlier in the day, the visiting dignitary was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhawan by President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There is also a scheduled meeting between Mr Modi and the visiting dignitary at Hyderabad House on Monday which will be followed by delegation level talks between two sides, the source said. The Prime Minister will also hand over a replica of Dornier Aircraft to the visiting dignitary.On Tuesday, the Seychelles President will arrive at Uttarakhand capital Dehradun, meet with the state Governor and visit Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy.Mr Faure has also visited Ahmedabad and Goa.
