Task force meet held for mass solar cooking options


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal As per the discussions held between H’ble Prime Minister Of India & H’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Government of Madhya Pradesh has set up a Task Force for renewable energy-based cooking solutions. Under kind aegis of Shri Manu Srivastava, Principal Secretary, MP New & Renewable Energy Department, Senior technical officials of MPUVN, Bhopal Eminent Solar Thermal experts, Academicians (IIT, Mumbai), PwC India and MPUVN Consultants attended the first meeting organized on 11th April 2018 at MPUVN, Bhopal. The members participated in the task force meeting are Sh. Deepak Gadhia, Trustee, Muni Seva Ashram, Dr. Ajay Chandak, Founder & Chairperson, PRINCE (Promoters, Researchers &Innovators in New & Clean Energy), Suman Foundation, Ms. Suhela Khan, Programme coordinator for Women’s access to sustainable energy, UN Women. The basic objective of the task force is to facilitate the economically weaker section of the society by providing them a green energy based cooking device which can last for a long time and can be operated through Solar Energy means no running cast. In the meeting broadly two areas namely Community Cooking and Remote Off-Grid Household Cooking technology where discussed in meeting. Based on Area of expertise the members were divided in two Groups on the basis of technologies
