The Inauguration of ELT@I Bhopal Chapter at BSSS

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal ELT@I is the largest network of teachers of English in the country, formed in 1974 having office at Chennai. It is a forum for the professional development of the teachers. The vision and mission of ELT@I is to make India the hub of ELT activities. Elt@i has 30 chapters throughout the country and has about 4800 members right from KG to PG and beyond. ELT@I Bhopal Chapter was inaugurated on 16th April 2018 at BSSS in the presence of the National President ELT@I, Dr. GA Ghanshyam. This chapter would create a new shift in the arena of academics and will lead the teachers as well as the students towards academic and professional proficiency. To mark the inaugural ceremony, the Department of English, The Bhopal School of Social Sciences, organised a one- day National Workshop on Assessment & Evaluation As Valuable Tools For Optimal Teaching-Learning Interaction In English Classrooms in which renowned academician Dr. Anjana Neira Dev from University of Delhi, conducted technical sessions with the participants. The workshop was attended by 85 English teachers from various schools and colleges. Such activities will definitely be beneficial for English teachers to devise methods of teaching which would be comfortable and effective in teaching the language to second language learners. The ELT@I Bhopal Chapter will open new vistas in the field of ELT.
