Thousands throng along Rahul's 'Jana Ashirvad' Yatra


Raichur, Karnataka, AICC President Rahul Gandhi kicked off the third day of 'Jana Ashirvad' Yatra in Hyderabad-Karnataka region on Monday by offering prayers at the famous Samshada Darga here. He also held a discussion with the Dalit organisations who had on Sunday shown black flags in Gangavati demanding implementation of the Sadashiva Commission report on internal reservation. Mr Gandi assured the dalit activists that their demand will be considered shortly and asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to send the report to the centre and he will personally look into the issue. Mr Gandhi offered 'chaddar' and prayed at the Darga and met some religious leaders in the Darga.In his short and sharp speech attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Gandhi said that the 'former should stop giving speeches on the past and start working, because there is not much time left to end his term'. Mr Gandhi said the Congress party believe in Secularism and in Karnataka, the Siddaramaiah government did lot for not only minority communities but also to the poor farmers and common man. Whether it is Indira Canteen or the debt waiver of the farmer, Congress government achieved much more than the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. After the meeting, he took out his road show from Ganja area of Yaramars to Kalamal and Gobour villages where he held street corner meetings.
