Unique initiative taken in country by forming Anand Mantralaya in State



CM Chouhan in Friends of M.P. Conclave

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the state government has taken an outstanding initiative by forming the Anand Mantralaya in order to strengthen sentiments of happiness among the people besides development of the state. He further stated that it is like a challenge to see happiness on the faces of the people amid the ever increasing tension in the present era. Chouhan mentioned that Anand Utsav will be celebrated at each panchayat level from January 14 to 20. People of all the sections of the society of any age will be included in the Anand Utsav. CM Chouhan was addressing the session “Madhya Pradesh Vision Year-2022” on the second day of the Friends of M.P. Conclave at Indore today. Views were also expressed in the session by the participants, who are of Madhya Pradesh origin and are settled abroad currently. CM Chouhan stated that the Narmada Seva Yatra was conducted with the wide public participation in the state last year. This yatra was set out in order to conserve the Narmada River, known as the lifeline of Madhya Pradesh. About 7 crore saplings were planted on both the banks of River Narmada last year. Fruits bearing plants were selected under the plantation, which will prove helpful in future for increasing the income of the farmers. The Narmada Seva Yatra also reflects the commitment of Madhya Pradesh towards the environment conservation. In the beginning of the session, Principal Secretary Urban Development Vivek Agrawal presented the ‘Vision Document’ prepared for the year 2022. He informed that agriculture sector of the state has 30 percent contribution in the Indian Economy. An increase of 15 percent has been registered in women literacy after 2005-06. The per capita income has grown over 200 percent during the last 11 years. The state has also achieved remarkable distinction in the tourism sector. Informing about the Swachcha Madhya Pradesh, the Principal Secretary said that overall management of wet and dry garbage will be completed in the state by 2022. Moreover, he informed that smart unit has already been installed in Jabalpur to generate electricity from garbage. Moreover, the Principal Secretary has informed that work regarding Indore –Bhopal and Chambal Express Way has been undertaken. In order to protect economic interest of the farmers, the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana has been implemented first in the country. Hire Centers have been started on PPP mode to provide agricultural equipments to the farmers. He further mentioned that work has been started to make cities of the state free of slums by preparing a concrete scheme. An amount of about Rs.21 thousand crore will be invested in the 7 smart cities of the state in the coming years. Public transport system is being strengthened and Yuva Sashaktikaran Mission has been started for the skill development. He also gave information about the action-plan prepared for irrigation, education and health sectors. Deputy Mayor of London Rajesh Agrawal in the session, said that for overall development, special attention must be paid on the people, who are still far from the reach of development. Attention must be paid for the interest of youths and women for development in true sense in the state. Non Resident Indians of Madhya Pradesh Origin C.P. Gurnani, Satyendra Singh Rekhi, G.S. Sarin also expressed their views in the session. The Principal Secretary Tourism Hariranjan Rao conducted the session. He mentioned that action will be taken with utmost seriousness by deliberating on each suggestion received during the Friends of M.P. Conclave.
