8 officials in Gonda and Fatehpur for foodgrain scam  Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday suspended 10 senior officials of Gonda and Fatehpur districts, including its District Magistrates, for alleged foodgrain scams which includes storing food grains for black marketing and wheat purchase anomalies. The Chief Minister in a statement here said the action was taken against the senior officials to send a strong message that this government will not spare the senior officials for any irregularities. Gonda district magistrate J B Singh and Fatehpur district magistrate Kumar Prashant were put on suspension and FIRs have been registered against them. According to official sources here, Singh along with district supply officer Rajiv Kumar and district food marketing officer Ajay Vikram Singh were suspended and an FIR were lodged after several irregularities were found against them. During the checking, around 9162 bags of food grains were found stored inside the godown which was used for black marketing. The foodgrains were meant to be distributed under Right of Food Act in the district. The government has also recommended disciplinary action against divisional food controller Devipatan division Rajesh Kumar, divisional food marketing officer Devipatan K K Singh and deputy commissioner food Satyendra Kumar Singh. Earlier in the same case, a few days ago marketing inspector Bharat Singh, and supply inspector Tarabganj Mahesh Prasad have been suspended. In the case of Fatehpur, its district magistrate Kumar Prashant along with Bisauli Mandi purchase center in-charge Narendra Kumar, PCF, district manager Rafiq Ansari, UP Agro Fatehpur mandi purchase incharge Prem Narain, UP Agro district manager Gulab Singh, marketing inspector Shakti Jaiswal and district food marketing officer Ghanshyam have been put on suspension and FIR have been registered against them. The sources said during a probe it was found that the wheat purchase centers in the Fatehpur district did not purchase anything after May 13. During the investigation, it was found that the farmers were not distributed the token in order to paralyse the purchase.
