The voter lists of Madhya Pradesh are being questioned by the main opposition the Congress party alleging insertion of fake voters and deleting the voters close to Congress Party. On official review the names of thousands of persons were deleted. Recently the Congress has pointed out in Tikamgarh district the name of former Congress Minister Mr.Yedvendra Sigh was removed from the list.
The Election Commission of the India has promptly ordered investigation in this matter. The Congress has alleged 11,000 duplicate voters in the Narela Assembly constituency of Bhopal. The Chief Electoral Officer of the Madhya Pradesh Mr.VI Kanta Rao ordered inquiry into it.
In the month of November the general elections in the State Vidhan Sabha will be held to be followed by Lok Sabha elections after few months.
The Electoral rolls must be very fair to maintain the reputation of elections of India established by Mr.TN Seshan.
