Police have cracked the murder that took place in Eintkhedi Chhap village under Khajuri police station Wife had killed the husband as she did not like him and the husband suspected her character. Therefore she attacked him with sharp-edged weapon while he was sleeping. Police are quizzing the accused wife who is five month pregnant.
Under Khajuri police station, the body of Neeraj Mewada was found in a pool of blood in the first floor room of his house in suspicious circumstances.
Deceased Neeraj Mewada, 25, was employed with Indian Institute of Forest Management Bhopal (IIFM) and was brutally murdered at his residence at Eitkhedi Chaap under Khajuri police station area on Sunday morning. Prima facie wife Neetu Mewada seemed to be suspect as per the circumstantial evidences.
The deceased used to stay with his wife on the upper floor of the house while other family members used to remain on ground floor.
In the initial investigation it was found that the relations between deceased and his wife were not harmonious after their marriage four years ago. His wife had gone to her parents after having dispute with the deceased 4-5 times and would return after the family members of deceased and wife would intervene.
The deceased used to work with an Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal (IIFM).
During interrogation, Neetu told police that she did not love Neeraj as he suffered from skin diseases and therefore she did not even talk to him. She said Neeraj suspected his character and used to physically abuse her.
Police were very cautious during interrogation as Neetu is five months pregnant. She continued to mislead the cops. Police collected all the evidence at their level and also cross-checked them.
According to the police, Neetu was forcibly married with Neeraj. Probe has revealed that Neetu had fled from the home only five days prior to the wedding. Later when she was recovered, the family members convinced her to marry. Police are also investigating if someone else is involved in the crime.
Teenager commits suicide after marriage was fixed
Under Misrod police station, a 17-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging as her marriage was fixed but she did not want to marry. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
Police said Sukhram, 40. lives with family at 11 Meel. His 17-year-old daughter Kavita had given up studies and stayed at home. Sukhram was a security guard in a company. Two days back her father had fixed her marriage in Shajapur.
Kavita became depressed after her marriage was fixed. On Monday night she shut her in the room. As soon as her mother saw this she called her. It is reported that she was talking to someone on the mobile. The minor told her mother that she would not open the room immediately but would open it after some time.
After some time her mother called her but there was no response. Her mother got suspicious and the room was broken open with the help of neighbours. The minor was found hanging in the room. Police have launched investigations.
