Under Bilkhiriya police station, a woman died after she fell down from the bike she was riding pillion. Her son was riding the bike and she was going to Mandideep from Vidisha with him.
According to the information received from Bilkhiriya police, Santosh Tiwari, 22, lives in Vidisha district. He works at a thread factory in Mandideep. His mother Vandana Bai had not been keeping well for past few months.
On Saturday he was taking his mother to Mandideep from Vidisha. At the bypass under Bilkhiriya police station, Vandana Bai suddenly fell down from the bike. She sustained serious head injury and died. Vandana’s family members informed that she fell down as she felt dizzy. Police have registered a case and launched investigations.
Two minor sisters go missing
Under Awadhpuri police station, two minor sisters have gone missing. The sisters went missing on Saturday evening. Police have registered a case.
According to Awadhpuri police, the girls are residents of Khajuri Kalan. They disappeared under suspicious circumstances at about 6 pm on Saturday. The girls’ father is a labourer. Police are clueless about whether someone has abducted the girls or they went somewhere on their own.
Gold chain snatched
Under Govindpura police station, an elderly woman was robbed of her gold chain on Sunday afternoon.
According to the information, Sampada Bhole, 61, resides in Shakti Nagar. She lives alone after retirement. She returned home from the market at about 2 pm and was parking her scooty in the porch outside the house.
Just then a youth came and asked an address. Sampada said she did not have the information. The youth then pointed towards the garden. As the woman bent to look down, the youth snatched the gold chain from her neck and fled.
Police said the CCTV cameras were being checked. Police have registered a case of loot and launched investigations.
Nursing student molested
A 22-year-old nursing student, who hails from Hoshangabad and lives in Ashoka Garden locality, was molested and assaulted by her 23-year-old college-mate who hails from Chhindwara.
SHO, Ashoka Garden police station, Manoj Dixit said that the victim told police that she is a final year student of BSc (nursing). On Friday, when she was returning home after her exam, the accused Sumit Bawaskar, stopped her near Dussehra Maidan and asked her to come with him. When she denied he grabbed her hand and started pulling her. When she resisted he slapped her.
Cops present near the area rounded him up and arrested him. A case was registered on the girl’s complaint while the accused was produced before court from where he was sent to jail.
