Women’s Day celebrated with zeal and fervour


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal International Women’s Day was celebrated in the city by various organizations and the people with great zeal and passion on Thursday to increase the awareness about women’s rights. It was celebrated by organizing variety of programmes like seminars, women parade, conferences, banner, debates, presentations, speech, competitive activities, luncheons, women’s issues, dinners, breakfasts including other women rights promotional activities. It was celebrated to enhance the awareness about women, their rights, contributions, importance of education, career opportunities etc.

Bhopal branch of ICAI organises conference

The Bhopal Branch of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India has organised a conference on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Hotel Atishay. The Conference was conducted by CA Anshul Agrawal Secretary Bhopal Branch of ICAI. More than 100 of Women CA’s attended the Conference. The speakers had motivated and influenced with their speeches. Dr. Preeti Mishra had spoken on “Managing Stress before It Ruins You”. Few years back, she was suffering from Breast Cancer and with her willpower she fought with it, hence becoming an inspiration for all. Another speaker Dr. Neel kamal Kapoor, Oncologist at AIIMS, Bhopal expressed her views on “Managing Living and Working Imbalance” And Dr. Pooja Gupta expressed her views on “Professional opportunities in Investment Planning and Mutual Funds”. International Women’s Day is annually held on March 8 to celebrate women’s achievements throughout history and across nations. It is also known as the United Nations (UN) Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace. More than 2, 85,000 CA’s are there in India out of which 25.39% of total membership consists of Women members and this percentage is expected to be increased in future. ICAI has a special portal, especially for Women Chartered Accountant. There is a special committee called Women Member Empowerment Committee (WMEC) which looks to enhance the prospects of women members in ICAI. Women Chartered Accountants contribute to the growth of the nation in various accounting areas like accountancy, direct taxes, indirect taxes, company law matters, strategic decision making, international business and taxation, project finance and many other regulatory matters. Recognizing the same, steps have been taken up by ICAI to enhance their contribution in the development of the profession and of the economy as well. The conference was successfully headed by the Conference Chairman CA KemishaSoni, Chairman and Committee for Capacity Building of Members in Practice of ICAI. Women entrepreneurs felicitated

International Women’s Day was celebrated in CRISP, Bhopal campus in association with AIC Aartech, Mandideep on 8/3/18 in the presence of eminent women entrepreneurs of Bhopal city, esteemed guests and CRISP students comprising a majority of women. The programme was inaugurated by the CEO of CRISP Mr. Mukesh Sharma by felicitating successful women entrepreneurs followed by experience sharing of various women experts and entrepreneurs namely Ms. Archana Pastariya (Counselor), Ms. Shrishti Mishra (Fashion Designer), Ms. Rashmi Golya (Motivational Speaker), Ms. Ranjana Upadhyay (Faculty, Nutan College), Priyanka Gupta (entrepreneur) and Ms. Shibani Ghosh (social worker) to name a few. The presence of a majority of Women power added sparkles to the celebrations. The entire programme was focused on the importance of women power in the society and business world and the need for promoting women in this field. The speakers also stressed on the need of self confidence, motivation and continuing support for women to excel in today’s competitive world. The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Mukesh Sharma, CEO CRISP and CEO of AIC – Aartech Madideep, Mr. Raje who thanked everyone for being a part of the celebration.

Arif Masood Fans Club

Arif Masood Fans Club organized a programme at Neelam Park on the occasion of Women’s Day. Holi Milan Samaroh was also held on the occasion. MP Congress Committee former spokesperson Arif Masood was the chief guest at the programme which was attended by large number of women. Speaking on the occasion Arif Masood said women have excelled and made progress in all spheres of life. He said a lot of work has been done in our country for the empowerment of the women. Adil Ahmad conducted the programme. Among those who were present included Abdul Nafees, Nazia Khan, Kamla Tiwari, Shobha Sahu, Nidhi Sen, Kalpana Tiwari, Madhu Shukla, Anjali, Mahima, Savita, Mamta Tiwari, Saluja Saxena, Sabiha Sultana, Amina Khan, Jyoti, Meena, Rashmi Verma, Saleha, Tabassum, Farheen, Aarti, Sangeeta, Santoshi, Alfia, Suman, Parveen, Sunaina, Sandhvi, Kavya, Manisha Saxena and others. Gas Pidit Punarwas Kendra, MP Mahila Congress and various other organizations and agencies organized programmes on the occasion.

Women domestic workers hold demo

Women domestic workers and female workers of unorganized sectors a demo at Roshanpura Square on the occasion of Women’s Day. The demo was staged under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Unorganized Congress. Among those present on the occasion included Congress state president Arun Yadav, party district (city) president PC Sharma, Pratibha Victor, Harishankar Shukla, Vibha Patel, Mujahid Siddakui, Pavitr Kaur, Gopal Lodhi, Om Bhardwaj, Sandeep Suri, Rani Dwivedi, Suman Saini, Vivek Shukl, Himanshu Tiwari and others.
