YSR Congress MP regrets his conduct in RS dusring debate on AP reorganisation Bill


New Delhi, Vijay Sai Reddy of the YSR Congress Party on Wednesday expressed regret over his misconduct in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday during short discussion on Andra Pradesh Re-organisation Act . Expressing regret for his conduct, Mr Reddy, who had argued with the Chair during the discussion and complained that he wasn't given adequate time, said,'I am sorry for what happened yesterday, The issue was emotive for me as I am from Andhra Pradesh.' Earlier, the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel said that the conduct of the member was not only against the dignity of the Chair but also against the dignity of the House. Speaking on the issue, Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad said that whatever happened on Tuesday in the House, was unfortunate. “On many occasion, have we differences with the Government or political parties but the differences are resolved in the Chairman’s chamber. I regret the incident that happened”, he said.He said that any issues could be taken up outside the House or in the Business Advisory Committee Putting an end to the issue, the Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said that it would be difficult for him to run the house if these kind of unruly incidents happen. He also pointed out members are not adhering to time limit. In this contex, he referred to and appreciated the short speech of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the short duration discussion. Mr Naidu said that the former Prime Minister used his alloted time to convey what he wanted to convey.
