Union Minister Prahlad Patel’s car, which was returning to Narsinghpur after campaigning in Chhindwara, collided with a bike, due to which his car was damaged. Bike riding teacher Niranjan Chandravanshi (35) has died in the accident. However, it is not clear whether the bike rider died or some other person. Union Minister Patel has suffered minor injuries.
According to reports, Patel was in Chhindwara on Tuesday holding a ‘Padayatra’ in support of party candidate Vivek Bunty Sahu.
Three children sitting on the bike are also injured. They were first admitted to Chhindwara hospital, but after first aid they were sent to Nagpur. Shortly after the accident, Minister Prahlad Patel left for Narsinghpur in another vehicle.
This accident happened on the bypass near Amarwada, it is being told that the Union Minister’s car collided with the bike coming from the wrong side. ASP Awadhesh Pratap Singh said that of the three bike riding children who were injured, a 10-year-old child is seriously injured. Union Minister Patel is contesting the assembly elections from Narsinghpur on BJP ticket. He is also a star campaigner of BJP. He was returning after campaigning in Chhindwara.
Congress has targeted BJP after the accident. The party has tweeted: Congress has BJP leader and Union Minister Prahlad Patel’s speeding and uncontrolled vehicle took the life of one person and injured three children.
