Wellington/New Delhi, Aug 8 (UNI) President Droupadi Murmu, who is on a state visit to New Zealand, held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters and also addressed the New Zealand International Education Conference in Wellington.
President Murmu also paid tribute to the martyred soldiers at the Pukeahu National War Memorial in Wellington and paid floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
In posts on X, the MEA spokesperson and the President’s House said:
“Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters of New Zealand called on President Droupadi Murmu. Both leaders acknowledged the progress in bilateral relations and deliberated upon ways of enhancing cooperation in several areas.”
“They held discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing global challenges.”

On her laying a wreath at the Wellington Pukeahu War Memorial and paying tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, they posted:
