New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday urged the nation to make small but effective changes in their lifestyles to combat climate change.
Addressing the nation on the eve of 78th Independence Day, Murmu said that climate change has become a reality, emphasising, “It is all the more challenging for developing nations to change their economic paradigm.”
Highlighting that the country has already made more progress in that direction than expected, the President said, “India is proud to be at the forefront of humankind’s battle to save the planet from the worst effects of global warming.”
She further urged all to make small but effective changes in their lifestyle and contribute to the cause of dealing with the challenge of climate change.
