Patna, Oct 18 (UNI) President Droupadi Murmu, currently on three day visit to Bihar, visited Takht Harimandir Sahib on Wednesday here in Patna City locality, to pay obeisance to 10th Guru of Sikhs Guru Govind Singh.
Murmu visited Takht Harimandir Sahib in Patna City locality to pay obeisance to Guru Govind Singh. She was also felicitated with traditional fervour by Prabhandhak Committee of Takht Harimandir Sahib.
President while on way to Takht Harimandir Sahib, suddenly alighted from the car and interacted with locals waiting roadside behind the barricades, to have glimpses of her. Decision of President Murmu to interact with locals sent the security personnel into tizzy who had tough time in providing security cover for her. She, however, returned to her car after few minutes.
Murmu is on three day visit to Bihar who had earlier during the day launched 4th Agriculture Road Map of Bihar for the period 2023-28. She is scheduled fo participate in convocation of Mahatma Gandhi Central University in Motihari on Thursday and also convocation of All India Institute of Medical Science(AIIMS) in evening same day. She will fly to Gaya on Thursday morning and participate in convocation of South Bihar Central University there, besides offering Puja in Mahabodhi temple. She will return to New Delhi on Thursday afternoon from Gaya.
