Bhopal: NITTTR, Bhopal, is organizing a five days collaborative Regional Program on “Empowering TVET: A Regional Initiative on Future Skills and Emerging Technologies” from 11-15 Nov 2024 at NITTTR, Bhopal in collaboration with the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC), Manila, Philippines. The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC Manila) was established in 1973 by 26 countries. CPSC is a unique Inter-Governmental Organization (IGO), which consistently addresses issues in Technical and Vocational Education & Training in the Asia and the Pacific region.
Giving information about the program, NITTTR Director Prof C.C .Tripathi said that as per the demand of time, new skills and competencies are required in the field of technical, vocational education and training. In view of the demand for the workforce of the industry in the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) and beyond, many capabilities like digital literacy, critical thinking and adaptability will have to be developed.
This program aims to bring together Senior Policy Makers, Directors of TVET Institutions, and practicing professionals from various ministries across the region. Participants from 16 countries are participating in this program. A one-day international seminar is also being organized on 13th November. Teachers and PhD scholars can participate in international seminar. CPSC Manila Director General Prof SK Dhameja will also be present in this program. The coordinator of this program is Prof. R.P. Khambayat.
