Chandigarh, Oct 23 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Wednesday demanded registration of a case against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jalalabad legislator Jagdeep Kamboj for allowing misuse of an AK-47 rifle by his father.
Senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia expressed shock over a video going viral “showing the legislator’s father Surinder Kamboj dancing with a lady who is flaunting an AK-47 rifle”.
Majithia said only a thorough probe into the entire incident will reveal whether the weapon flaunted by the couple belonged to a gunman of Jagdeep Kamboj or was smuggled from Pakistan.
Majithia also demanded the immediate registration of a case against the legislator as well as the latter’s father and the woman seen in the video. He said in case the weapon belonged to a gunman then strict action was needed against the legislator for sub-letting the security provided to him to his father.
“Weapons like AK-47s cannot be used for dance performances. Anybody doing so should be proceeded against immediately. Action should also be taken against the police personnel who gave the legislator’s father access to his weapon”, he added.
