Bhopal: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna, and Absolute Gramya Private Limited are set to host a workshop dedicated to enhancing rural governance, healthcare, and skill development through the innovative E-Panchayat system. The event, titled “Empowering Compatible Rural Governance, Health, and Skilling through Developing E-Panchayat,” will take place on September 2, 2024, at Hotel Marriott, Bhopal at 10:15 AM.
The workshop will feature an inaugural address by Shri Rajendra Shukla, the Honourable Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. His speech will outline the government’s vision for rural development and the pivotal role of E-Panchayat. Prof. T. N. Singh, Director of IIT Patna and Chairman of the Foundation for Innovators in Science and Technology (FIST), will deliver a special address focusing on the intersection of technology and rural development.
This workshop represents a significant advancement in integrating technology into rural governance processes. The E-Panchayat initiative is anticipated to revolutionize governance, healthcare delivery, and skill development at the grassroots level.
A key highlight of the event will be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FIST, IIT, Patna and Absolute Gramya Private Limited. This agreement will formalize the commitment of both organizations to collaborate on advancing the E-Panchayat initiative and ensuring its successful implementation. The workshop will identify challenges and opportunities related to E-Panchayat implementation. This technological focus approach is crucial for modernizing rural governance and amplifying the impact of E-Panchayat.
