New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) With Opposition members going all out to corner the government over National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET paper leak row, the Rajya Sabha on Friday witnessed massive uproar.
Leader of Opposition (LoP) and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge raised the NEET issue and pressed for discussing the alleged paper leak.
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that 22 INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) MPs of the Rajya Sabha today gave a notice under Rule 267 for an immediate discussion on the NEET and NET scandals.
The discussion was however disallowed, triggering ruckus in the Upper House.
Amid sloganeering by opposition MPs, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon but when it reconvened the massive uproar continued over irregularities in exams conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
