- Police raided the warehouse of the factory operator
Bhopal: New revelations are being made in the case of drugs worth 1814 crores seized from a factory in Bagrauda located in Katara Hills. On Tuesday, Bhopal Police raided the warehouse of the factory operator located in village Rapdiya, from where raw material worth about 30 lakh rupees was seized. If drugs were made from this raw material, then its cost would be around 300 crores rupees. After the action of ATS and NCB, Bhopal Police is investigating the case at every level.
According to the information, three days ago, a joint team of NCB Delhi and ATS Gujarat raided the factory running on plot number 63 located in industrial area Bagrauda. The team found about 900 kg of drugs worth Rs 1814 crores from here. Along with this, raw material worth crores of rupees was seized. In this case, factory operator Amit Chaturvedi, resident of Kamala Nagar Bhopal and his partner Sanyal Bane, resident of Nashik Maharashtra were arrested. The third accused in the case, Harish Anjana, was arrested from Mandsaur. Warehouse exposed during investigation Initial investigation revealed that Amit Chaturvedi had rented a warehouse in village Rapdia, from where he used to take some goods to the factory at night. When the police gathered information, it was found that Amit Chaturvedi had rented a warehouse of Vishnu Patidar, resident of village Rapdia, in front of Shubham Warehouse, Ganesh Market shop number 6 Rapdia intersection.
On Tuesday, under the leadership of Additional Police Commissioner Awadhesh Goswami, the police team broke the lock of the warehouse in front of the land owner Vishnu Patidar and looked inside, and found many drums filled with chemicals inside. The police have sealed the warehouse after confiscating all the goods. Drugs worth Rs 300 crores made from chemicals During the raid, 1600 liters of acetone, 1000 liters of toluene, 100 liters of HCL, 200 kg of sodium carbonate powder, 240 liters of solvent, 40 kg of sodium carbonate, 42 bottles of bromine, 20 liters of liquid, 50 kg of methlamine hydrochloride, 50 kg of light soda ash, 10 kg of crystal granular, 10 liters of powder and other materials were seized from the warehouse. The price of the chemicals and raw materials seized from the warehouse is said to be around Rs 30 lakh in the local market.
