Srinagar, Nov 6 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Leader of Opposition (LOP) Sunil Sharma termed the resolution passed in the Assembly against the restoration of special status to Jammu and Kashmir as “illegal’, “unconstitutional” and without any validity and sanctity.
Reacting to the passing of the resolution in the Assembly, the BJP leader Sharma said “This assembly is not above the Parliament and the Supreme Court of India”.
Sharma said, “The ruling party has flouted the law and damaged the image of the speaker post”.
He said, “the Speaker who plays the role of the custodian of the house has played the role of an agent of a party”.
Article 370 is a history and nobody can restore it here again, Sharma said.
“It will consume thousands of Abdullah family generations and still Article 370 would not be restored in Jammu and Kashmir”, the BJP leader said.
Sharma alleged that the National Conference has a habit of constructing fake narratives to misguide and fool the people of Kashmir.
He said the National Conference has been frustrated after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019 brought peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The NC wants to revive the issue of Article 370 so that they could bring people including the poor Children on the roads to destabilise the situation which may turn into bloodshed”, Sharma alleged.
He said NC has no other agenda except to spread violence in Jammu and Kashmir.
“I honestly and strongly speaking that Omar Abdullah and his team of members know that Article 370 is now history and could not be restored”, Sharma said and added, “but to gain the numbers they brought the resolution on Article 370 for its restoration”.
