Retired BHEL DGM trapped in honeytrap

Bhopal: A retired DGM of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) was trapped in honeytrap by a contractor and blackmailed and taken 2 lakh 5 thousand rupees. The accused was demanding three lakh rupees more by threatening to make the obscene video viral. After the complaint, the police have registered a case against four people including the contractor, which includes two women. The main accused has been taken into custody and is being interrogated. According to Govindpura police, the 60-year-old complainant is a retired DGM of BHEL factory. He knew Shashank Verma alias Sunny, who lives in Saket Nagar. Shashank is a contractor. The officer alleges that Shashank, along with his partner and two women, trapped him in honeytrap and made an obscene video. Later, he took money by threatening to make this video viral and was blackmailing for the remaining money. The officer told in the complaint that on 14th August last month, Shashank took him to a hotel where he introduced him to a woman. He left him at the hotel and went away. The next day, he showed his photos with the woman on his mobile and demanded Rs 1 lakh. When he refused to give the money, he threatened that he would make the said photos and videos viral on social media. Meanwhile, he started getting calls in the name of Crime Branch and pressure was put on him for arrest. On this, the officer gave Rs 55,000 to Shashank. After that, Shashank took Rs 50,000 again on 20th August. On 20th August itself, Shashank reached his house with his partner Deepak and pressurized him and took him to Jabalpur in the car. Here, he took Rs 1 lakh more through ATM and online. After that, he left the officer. It is said that the family of the complainant officer lives separately from him.

Youth attacked with knife

A youth living in Shivnagar, Nishatpura was attacked with a knife by a local goon. The seriously injured youth has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. On the report of the injured youth’s wife, the police have registered a case against the accused under sections of abuse and attempt to murder. At present, the accused has not been arrested. The police is searching for him. According to the information, Ram alias Ramcharan Raikwar (28) lives in the Honda showroom lane, Shivnagar Karond and works as a driver. Ramcharan’s landlord had asked him to vacate the house, but for some reason he was unable to vacate the house. On Monday night at around 11 o’clock, Ramcharan was strolling outside his house after having dinner, when Deepu alias Deepak Kushwaha, who lives in the locality, reached there. Deepu is said to be of criminal nature. When Deepu started talking about vacating the house, Ramcharan told him that he would not vacate the house. On this Deepu started abusing him. When Ramcharan refused to abuse him, he attacked him with a knife and ran away. Seriously injured Ramcharan was taken to the hospital by his wife Aarti Raikwar for treatment

Youth’s bike stolen

A youth’s Apache bike was stolen while he was standing on the roadside in the Misrod area and talking on mobile. Police have registered a case against unknown thieves. According to police, Shreyash Trivedi (32) lives in Anuja Village Hoshangabad Road Misrod and works in a private job. On the night of 22nd August, at around 9:45 pm, he was returning home from work. He received a call from his wife on his mobile in front of Tata Godown in Misrod. Shreyash parked his bike on the roadside and started talking to his wife on the phone. While talking, his attention was diverted from the bike, and someone stole the bike.

Car hits scooter-riding brother-sister

A car hit a scooter-riding brother-sister in front of Rustomjee Residential Complex in Jahangirabad. Both of them have suffered serious injuries in this accident. They have been admitted to Hamidia Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case against the car driver who hit them. According to the police, Mayank Yadav, who lives in Rustomjee Residential Complex Phase-2, studies in class 12 in a school located in Barkhedi Jahangirabad. On Monday night around 9:15 PM, he was going towards Jahangirabad on his scooter with his elder sister Harshita. Both of them came out of Rustomji residential complex and reached the main road, when a speeding car coming from Jahangirabad hit Mayank’s scooter. After the accident, the driver left the car on the spot and fled.
