Rewa gets wings: PM Modi virtually inaugurates Rewa Airport

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the newly built Rewa Airport from Banaras. Rewa is the sixth airport of the state. Modi said that development work is being done in the country at three times the speed as compared to earlier. Within 125 days of the formation of the new government, work has been started on schemes and projects worth more than Rs 15 lakh crore. A big campaign for building infrastructure is going on across the country. Our goal is to increase the convenience of the citizens and provide jobs to the youth through investment for development. The facilities of highways, new train routes and new airports are increasing. This is increasing the facilities of the common citizens and the youth are also getting jobs. There were only 70 airports in the country in the year 2014, whose number has increased to more than 150 today. Old airports are also being renovated.

Doors of development of Vindhya will open: CM

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Modi has given a very big Diwali gift to the people of Vindhya even before Diwali. With the opening of the airport in Rewa, the doors of development of Vindhya will open and the picture and fate of this place will change. Natural wealth and every resource for development has been available in Vindhya. Rewa’s development was locked. Due to lack of attention by the previous governments, Vindhya could not develop properly. Now continuous efforts are being made for the development of Vindhya. There was no railway facility in Rewa in 1993. Today airport facility is available here. Expressway will also be constructed from Rewa to Bhopal.

CM Dr. Yadav said that Regional Industry Conclave is being organized in Rewa on 23 October to speed up the industrial development of Vindhya. Through this, there will be large-scale investment for industrial development in the entire Vindhya region.

Vindhya residents will be provided air travel for Rs 999

CM said that container and cargo aircraft will be provided soon for cargo transportation from Vindhya region. Also, Vindhya residents will be provided air travel for Rs 999. Due to the efforts of Prime Minister Modi and Udan Yojana, even the poor people have got the facility of air travel.

Airstrips will be built in every dist of state

Dr. Yadav said that air ambulance and heli service have been started for treatment assistance to critically ill patients. Critically ill patients are being taken to big hospitals free of cost by air. Today, on the day of Karva Chauth fast, Rewa has got the gift of an airport. This has doubled the joy of Karva Chauth. 25 airstrips have been developed along with 6 airports in the state. Airstrips will be built in every district of the state. Airstrips of Ujjain, Shivpuri and Datia will be developed and airports will be built.

Dr. Yadav said that Lord Ram spent more than ten years of his exile on the holy land of Vindhya. The governments of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are making joint efforts for the development of Lord Ram’s Tapobhoomi Chitrakoot.

Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora said that this is a moment of pride for Vindhya region including Rewa division, when Rewa airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. He said that in the form of airport, Vindhya has got a big gift for development in every field including tourism, industry, employment and health. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that the coming generations of Vindhya will remember the historic moment of inauguration of airport in Rewa for a long time. There are immense possibilities of development in Rewa.
