- CM Attends Rudraksha Mahotsav at Kubreshwar, Sehore
Dr. Yadav lauded the efforts of Pt. Pradeep Mishra, highlighting his role in fostering faith and devotion among people, leading to their spiritual and religious upliftment. He acknowledged Pt. Mishra’s contribution in establishing Kubreshwar Dham near Bhopal, giving the region a new religious identity. The CM further stated that India, being the world’s largest democracy with over 200 countries recognizing its significance, has upheld its unwavering faith in Sanatan culture. He cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s holy dip at the Kumbh in Prayagraj as a symbol of the nation’s deep-rooted spiritual beliefs.
The Chief Minister acknowledged the guidance received from saints and seers, emphasizing that his government regularly consults them on various matters. He stated that their wisdom provides moral strength to governance, enabling the administration to work more effectively for the state’s development and public welfare. Highlighting his government’s commitment to cow protection, he mentioned the construction of Gaushalas (cow shelters) across the state, ensuring a better environment for cows.
Dr. Yadav remarked that cows are a divine blessing and serve as a link between nature and the Almighty. To provide shelter for stray, weak, and elderly cows, large Gaushalas with a capacity of 10,000 cows will be built in major municipal corporations, including Bhopal. He announced incentives for dairy farmers, including bonuses for milk production and grants for those rearing more than ten cows. Additionally, subsidies will be provided at the village level to encourage cattle rearing and milk production. The financial assistance for Gaushala operators will also be doubled from Rs.20 to Rs. 40 per cow to enhance their sustainability.
The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to both development and social responsibility. He announced a financial assistance scheme of Rs. 2 lakh for the remarriage of widowed women to help them rebuild their lives. Furthermore, he assured the development of major religious and pilgrimage sites across the state. Addressing concerns about the water scarcity of the Shipra River during summers, he stated that efforts are underway to ensure its continuous flow throughout the year. He also mentioned plans to establish Gita Bhavans in all urban municipalities.
In a significant move, the state government has decided to shut down liquor shops in 19 religious towns and impose a ban on open meat sales in these areas.
The Rudraksha Mahotsav was attended by Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma, MLA Sudesh Rai, Backward Class Commission member Sitaram Yadav, Municipal Council President Prince Rathore, former District Panchayat President Jaspal Arora, Collector Balaguru K, SP Deepak Kumar Shukla, and District Panchayat CEO Dr. Neha Jain.
