Bhopal: Sagarites of Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar presented a spectacular two-day Annual Function 2024 by celebrating the essence of personal happiness and societal progress with the themes ‘Happiness – The Journey Within’ and ‘Pillars of Progression’ in colourful and vibrant performances. The second day of the annual day revolved around the theme ‘Pillars of Progression’ and was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Vandana Saxena from the Department of Education, Delhi University. The school band’s grand salute was accorded by the school band team with Chairman and Founder Sagar Group Shri Sudhir Kumar Agrawal, and Principal Pankaj Sharma welcoming the guest with a sapling. Over 850 Sagarites from classes V to XI performance reflected the pillars of a progressive society highlighting unity and culture, leadership, inclusiveness, health is wealth and well-being. The dance drama on the Power of People is a contemporary dance symbolized by Profound Vision followed by an energetic performance on Fitness – Body, Mind, and Soul. Hindi Play Inclusiveness is the strength that highlighted the completeness of human being, while the English play Influence of Leaders explored the power of leaders, featuring inspirational figures like Gandhi Ji, Sarafina, Bill Gates, and Gautam Buddha.
The first day of the annual day – ‘Happiness – The Journey Within’ was graced by Anil Gulati Communication Specialist from UNICEF, as the Chief Guest for the day with Sagarites opening with a heartfelt welcome dance conveying the message of empathy. Sagarites of grades I to IV performed a delightful play, ‘Dosti Mai Khushi,’ featuring beloved characters like Chhota Bheem, Mowgli, Doraemon, and Motu Patlu, who joined forces to save the jungle from deforestation, showing that true happiness lies within, not in material things. The play on Indra Devta’s story further emphasized that happiness is hidden within the human body, urging people to find joy in simplicity, family, friends and by helping the people rather than in luxury or material possessions.
Principal Ms. Pankaj Sharma presented the school’s annual report and highlighted the school’s achievements in academics, sports, competitive selections, and scholarships awarded. This was followed by a special musical segment, Melodies that Unite, featuring vocal and instrumental performances, along with a lively folk-dance Echoes of Bliss — a conclusion symbolising harmony and societal progression. Vice Principal Dr. Manavi Arora proposed the vote of thanks, followed by the school anthem, bringing the two-day celebration to a blissful close.
