Saharsh Garba Festival: Some danced as Bhole, some as Kali

  • Program starts with traditional tunes, Garba dance takes place with competition

On the auspicious festival of Navratri, Saharsh Color and Welfare Society has brought the two-day Saharsh Garba Festival from Sunday (6 October) with a different enthusiasm among the people of Bhopal.

There are going to be a lot of games, theme based dances, character themes, different competitions, Garba, Dandiya, exciting prizes, lots of fun, dance and entertainment in these two days in the Sahyadri campus. On the first day, the program started at 6 pm with the traditional tune by welcoming Sahyadri Durga Utsav Samiti President RP Shrivas. President of Sahyadri Color and Welfare Society Harish Sharma honored him by applying sandalwood tilak. Sanjay Mehta and Ranjana Tiwari were present as the chief guests on the first day. The judge on the first day was Ishita Jain. Apart from them, Prakash Vyas, Marketing Head of Navbharat was also present on the stage. All these people were honoured with sandalwood tilak. The first day started with a character theme. In which different types of people came dressed as different characters. Some came dressed as Mahakali, some as Shriji, Kali Mata, Scientist, Mastani, Jodha Bai, Padmavati, Jhansi’s Rani Lakshmibai, while people were also seen in the form of Lord Shankar and Durga. When all of them were seen together on the stage, it felt as if all the gods from Devlok had descended on this earth. All these people were asked questions related to their characters. On the basis of which they will be given prizes. Apart from these, the youth who came here to perform Garba were seen very well dressed and full of enthusiasm. Everyone was wearing colourful, Gujarati-looking clothes. The pandal was also decorated following the Gujarati trend. Which became the centre of attraction. There was glittering lighting all around.
