New Delhi, Dec 30 (UNI) Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)–IISCO Steel Plant (ISP), Burnpur on Monday announced a strategic collaboration with IIT Dhanbad’s Technology Innovation in Exploration & Mining (TEXMiN) Foundation to promote technological advancements in mining and metallurgy sector.
The collaboration focuses on nurturing intellectual capacity skills through specialized programs in futuristic and advanced domains, providing hands-on case studies and simulations focused on steelmaking processes and advanced training modules for workforce development.
“Beyond technology, this collaboration aims to foster a community of skilled individuals prepared to tackle the challenges of an ever-evolving industry. Indeed, this alliance signifies a transformative step in advancing innovation, sustainability, and skill development in the steel industry,” said an official media release.
Brijendra Pratap Singh, Director In-Charge (Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plant), SAIL said that the partnership is noteworthy as it brings the power of technology, academia, and domain expertise to help us realize our growth plans.
