- Craftsmen from many states have put up exhibition of their products in the market

The Regional Saras Fair, sponsored by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and organized by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, is buzzing with handicraft products. It is being organized in Bhopal Haat complex from 27th September to 9th October.
Self-help groups from different provinces of the country are present in this fair to display and sell their products. The present self-help groups are available for display and sale along with many types of materials like dress material, decorative items, herbs, terracotta, shoes, famous sarees of different provinces, bedsheets etc. from different provinces.
Main products of Madhya Pradesh – Handmade jewelry from Dewas, Tea leaves, Bagpint from Alirajpur, Sarees, Suits, Herbs from Dindori, Bamboo items, Painting canvas, Chanderi saree suit from Ashoknagar, Bud work watch from Indore, Rangoli, Jaggery from Balaghat. Rice, pulses etc., pottery from Chhatarpur, carpet bedsheet from Mandsaur, Meenakari work from Shajapur, Kashida saree from Damoh, Bari papad pickle etc. are available.
Embroidered products are the main attraction
Pooja, who is selling Gujarati clothes, said that she has different types of embroidered and plain clothes, sarees and special embroidered sheets for laying on the glass table. Products from different states include bed sheets from Uttar Pradesh, chicken work, Banarasi saree, spices gram flour, soap made from goat’s milk, letter lamp from Andhra Pradesh, handloom black raisins, soybean products from Maharashtra, bamboo products etc.
Home made silk and cotton sarees can be worn in every season. These can be used in office and as party wear and in wedding ceremonies. All these sarees have been prepared by weaving by hand. Good response is being received in the fair.
