Patna, June 14 (UNI) Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying Rajeev Ranjan Singh, alias Lalan Singh, on Friday poured water on INDI alliance’s expectation of a split in the NDA by expressing total satisfaction with the portfolio allotted to him by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The senior Janata Dal (United) leader who also holds the Panchayati Raj portfolio, told media persons here that he was totally satisfied with the portfolio and would discharge his responsibility with full responsibility and dedication.
The Munger MP who was inducted in the newly formed Modi cabinet on June 9, met the press at the Patna airport on his arrival from New Delhi for the first time after taking oath as union minister.
Singh dismissed speculations in media and rubbished the impression created by opposition that leaders from JD(U) and other allies of BJP were not allotted important portfolios.
He said: “Nothing would happen like the opposition expects”, in reference to chances of split in the NDA leading to fall of the Narendra Modi government.
Apparently there was not much of a grand welcome given to him at the airport here.
