Saurabh Sharma, others sent on ED remand till Feb 17

Bhopal, Former RTO constable Saurabh Sharma, his associate Chetan Singh Gaur and Sharad Jaiswal were handed over to ED on remand till February 17 by the court on Tuesday.

Now ED will question all three in the case of 52 kg gold, 11 crore rupees cash and other properties worth crores of rupees found in the car from the jungle of Mendori. During the hearing, Saurabh Sharma’s lawyer Rakesh Parashar, mother Uma Sharma along with Sharad Jaiswal’s niece also reached the court.

On Monday, ED had filed a petition in the court of 18th Additional District Judge Sachin Kumar Ghosh and sought remand of all three for 7 days. The court had ordered the Central Jail Superintendent to appear for all three accused. After which all three were produced in the court today at 1 pm.

ED will find answers to unresolved questions. In fact, on February 4, Saurabh Sharma, Sharad Jaiswal and Chetan Singh Gaur were produced in the court of Lokayukta police related cases. Here the court had ordered to send all three to judicial custody till February 17.

In judicial custody, ED had continuously interrogated Saurabh, Chetan and Sharad in front of jail police separately and face to face on February 5, 6 and 7.
