New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a plea seeking a review of its January 3 decision by which it had refused to order an investigation by a Special Team (SIT) or by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) through a Court Monitored committee into the allegations of stock price manipulation by the Adani group.
A bench comprising Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud, Justice J B Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra dismissed the PIL filed by Anamika Jaiswal .
The Apex Court had earlier passed its order on a batch of petitions seeking a probe into the allegations by Hindenburg Research which levelled charges of large-scale manipulations of the stock prices by the Adani group.
Hindenburg’s Research had made allegations against the Adani group of fraudulent transactions and share price manipulations.
The Supreme Court had dismissed the batch of pleas earlier but a review petition was filed which was also dismissed on May 3.
The review petition filed now said that there were some errors in the January 3 order so the court had rejected its plea of appointing a Court Monitored Probe.
