- Sports Competitions Shifted to Digital Platform and Made Paperless
Under this system, all recognized MP Board schools, as well as CBSE schools that wish to participate in various sports competitions organized under the School Games Federation of India and the School Education Department, can register on the portal by uploading necessary documents along with a fixed registration fee. Registration must be done only once for competitions in the 14 to 19 age group. The system also provides an option for annual upgrades as needed. The portal will also collect the sports fee based on the number of registered players in the schools, and the collected fee will be automatically transferred to the respective accounts of the Directorate, Joint Director of Divisions, and District Education Officer as per the percentage set by the government.
This system ensures fairness, transparency, and age verification, preventing ineligible players from participating in any level of the competition.
Sports Activities
Officers, teachers, staff members, and physical education teachers of the School Education Department regularly conduct district-level to state-level departmental sports competitions. The departmental competitions include cricket (leather ball), volleyball, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis, and athletics (both men and women). Around 8,000 students from schools participate in the selection process, which leads to state-level competitions. This process has resulted in Madhya Pradesh producing national and international-level athletes.
