Bhopal: A school student living in Chhola Mandir area died of suicide by hanging himself at home. No suicide note has been found with him. Initial investigation has revealed that the student was weak in studies, due to which he was much stressed. According to the police, Ankit Sahu (14) lives in Bhanpur near Kotak Mahindra Bank. His parents are labourers. Ankit was studying in class 6. When the family members reached home on Tuesday evening, he was found hanging. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot, registered a case. Police handed over the body to the family after post-mortem on Wednesday. No suicide note was found during the search of the room. The family members were inconsolable and hence did not give any statement. Initial investigation revealed that he was weak in studies. It is believed that this is the reason why he committed suicide. However, the real reason will be revealed only after the statements of the family members.

Habitual offender held with revolver
Talaiyya police have arrested a habitual offender with a country made revolver and a live cartridge. The police had received information that a suspicious person was roaming near Kuchbandia Samaj temple in Shahjahani Park.
The police caught the suspect. On interrogation, he revealed his identity as Arbaz Sheikh, 22 years, resident of Murgi Bazar, Jahangirabad. On searching an illegal revolver and three live cartridges were recovered from him.
The police booked him under Arms Act. Cases of attempted murder, assault and under Arms Act are registered against him.

Illegal liquor smugglers caught
Due to the closure of liquor shops on Gandhi Jayanti, illegal liquor smugglers remained active. Police arrested many smugglers and confiscated liquor worth thousands of rupees from them. Cases have been registered against the accused under the Excise Act. According to TT Nagar Police, information was received from an informer that a youth was roaming around on Atal Path located at Jawahar Chowk in an attempt to sell liquor illegally. When the police team patrolling the area reached the spot, the suspicious youth tried to run away, who was caught after being surrounded. On interrogation, he told his name as Akhilesh Kastuar (38), resident of village Kalkheda, police station Ratibad. On searching, 49 quarters of Desi Masala liquor kept in his bag were seized. The value of the seized liquor is said to be around five thousand rupees. Police have registered a case against the accused under the Excise Act and arrested him.
