The game of defection continues before the Madhya Pradesh elections. Raghuraj Singh Dhakad,
leader of the Dhakad community, considered close to veteran BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia, joined
the Congress recently, along with hundreds of workers from the Gwalior and Chambal regions of
the state. Madhya Pradesh Congress President Kamal Nath gave Congress membership to Dhakad.

Significantly, this is the third major blow to the BJP camp in the last two months. Raghuraj Singh Dhakad, leader of Gwalior-Chambal region, reached Bhopal in a convoy of 300 cars on Thursday morning. Former CM’s son Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh was also with him.

Dhakad, who arrived at Kamal Nath’s residence with hundreds of workers, held a meeting with Kamal Nath and joined the supporters. Along with Dhakad, Jaipal Singh Yadav and Yaduraj Singh Yadav from Chanderi joined the Congress party along with thousands of workers.

Before this, Scindia supporters Baijnath Singh Yadav and Rakesh Gupta have also left BJP and joined
Congress.
