Scout Camp for Campionites organised in Bharat Scouts & Guides National Training Centre at Pachmarhi

  • More than 103 Campion School boys attended Pachmarhi Scouts Camp

Bhopal: A group of 103 Campion School Scouts from Bhopal recently embarked on an adventurous five-day camp at the Bharat Scouts & Guides National Training Centre in Pachmarhi, Hoshangabad district. Led by Vice Principal Fr. Alok Kujur S.J. as the Scouter Incharge, and supported by instructors Johnsy Koshy, Sanjay Mishra, and Vibhore Tiwari, the camp was a transformative experience for the students.

The camp kicked off with a ceremonial flag hoisting by Fr. Kujur and Mr. Koshy, setting the tone for a week full of learning and teamwork. In his welcome address, Fr. Kujur emphasized the power of the Scouts and Guides coming together from different corners of India, promoting unity and fostering deep bonds of friendship and mutual respect.

Throughout the camp, the Scouts participated in a range of activities aimed at honing their outdoor skills. These included setting up tents, first-aid training, woodcraft, and mastering various knots such as the reef knot, clove hitch, and bowline. They also engaged in thrilling challenges like rock climbing, trekking, and navigating through historical sites like Pandav Caves and Jatashanker.

The camp’s success was further celebrated by a visit from Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., who motivated the students to continue embracing the core values of leadership, perseverance, and camaraderie. This enriching experience left a lasting impact on all, reinforcing the Scouts’ commitment to personal growth and service.
