Bhopal: The second major fire incident took place in the Ecological Park located in Laharpur, Bhopal within 18 days. On Tuesday afternoon, the garbage lying inside caught fire and spread in the park in no time. Due to this, hundreds of trees and plants got scorched. Fire engines from nearby fire stations reached the spot and put out the fire.
A fire broke out in the park at 1 pm. 4 fire engines from nearby reached the spot and extinguished the fire. Here, the fire reached the back of the houses. So people ran with pots filled with water. Due to which the fire could be controlled on time, otherwise the fire could have reached the houses as well.
Hundreds of plants got scorched due to the fire. The Ecological Park of the Forest Department is spread over an area of 1500 hectares. Thousands of people come here to visit in the morning and evening. The greenery around captivates everyone.
Residents said that garbage is spread all over the park. The Municipal Corporation and the Forest Department are not paying attention. This garbage caught fire. The fire kept smoldering in the garbage lying at different places in the park.
Fire breaks out every year. Incidents of fire occur every year in this park. Sometimes fire breaks out due to stubble, and sometimes due to garbage.
