Security forces exchange fire with terrorists in JK’s Doda

Jammu, July 17 (UNI) A day after four army personnel, including a Captain ,were killed in the line of duty, security forces exchanged fire with terrorists in the hilly belt of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources said that the terrorists fired at the search party of security forces on Tuesday night in Desa forest area of Doda district.

“The action was retaliated following which a brief exchange of fire took place,” they said.

They also added that the Village Defence Guards (VDGs) also opened fire on observing a suspicious movement outside their village in Kalaan Bhata area and near Panchan Bhata during the ongoing anti-terrorist operation in the Desa forest area.

Meanwhile a joint team of security forces have launched a search operation to track down the terrorists.

However, police and army also launched a search operation in Nagrota area on the city outskirts.
