Sending letter to judge proved costly

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal / Jabalpur Narmadapuram Collector Sonia Meena has been reprimanded by the court for not appearing in the High Court herself and sending the letter through Additional Collector and Tehsildar. The court has ordered CS to take action against the collector.

According to the information, in the case related to land dispute, the High Court judge has called the letter written directly by Collector Meena a daring step. The High Court has directed the Chief Secretary to submit the report by August 30. It has also been said that the Additional Collector and Tehsildar do not have any knowledge of the work, so they should be sent for 6-6 months of training. Magistrate powers should also be taken away from the Additional Collector and Tehsildar. The High Court said that if the parties want, they can also file a criminal and corruption case against the Additional Collector, Tehsildar and Collector. High Court Justice GS Ahluwalia had asked Collector Sonia Meena to appear during the hearing of a land case in Narmadapuram, but the Collector sent a letter directly to the High Court Judge through the Additional Collector and Tehsildar.
